Day 1

Arrival in Arusha -- Equipment Check & Briefing

Arrive in Arusha and meet your Sky Wild Safaris mountain guide for a thorough gear check. Full altitude, acclimatisation, and summit briefing. Overnight in a comfortable Arusha hotel before the trek begins.

Day 2

Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa (2,750m)

Drive to Lemosho Gate (2,100m). Trek through dense equatorial rainforest -- colobus monkeys, hornbills, and giant tree ferns. First camp at Mti Mkubwa, the Big Tree Camp.

Day 3

Mti Mkubwa to Shira 2 Camp (3,900m)

Ascend from the forest into the heather-moorland zone. The Shira Plateau opens up dramatically as clouds part. Shira 2 Camp for an important acclimatisation night.

Day 4

Acclimatisation -- Lava Tower (4,600m) then Barranco (3,950m)

Hike high to the Lava Tower for vital acclimatisation, then descend to Barranco Camp following the golden rule: climb high, sleep low. Stunning evening views of the Southern Icefield.

Day 5

Barranco Wall to Karanga Camp (4,035m)

The famous Barranco Wall scramble -- hands-and-feet climbing with extraordinary views of the summit above. Descend to Karanga Valley. Afternoon rest and strict hydration.

Day 6

Karanga to Barafu Base Camp (4,673m)

A shorter day to allow full rest before the midnight start. Arrive at Barafu Base Camp in the afternoon. Early dinner at 5pm and lights out by 7pm.

Day 7

Summit Push -- Uhuru Peak at Sunrise

Midnight wake-up. Headtorches on, the summit push begins in freezing temperatures. Reach Stella Point on the crater rim as the first glow appears on the horizon. Push to Uhuru Peak for a full sunrise. Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for rest.

Day 8

Final Descent to Mweka Gate -- Certificate

The last descent through bamboo and rainforest to Mweka Gate. Your official Kilimanjaro summit certificate awaits. Transfer to Moshi for a hot shower and celebratory dinner.

Day 9

Departure from Kilimanjaro Airport

Rest morning in Moshi. Private transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport. The mountain stays with you long after you leave it.
